| + | # Safe Ratting Guides |
| + | |
| + | Ratting (PvE combat anomalies) is the primary way our members generate personal income. However, The Abyssal Requiem is a strategic combat corporation first. Your personal ISK generation must never compromise the security of our space or feed easy killmails to hostile alliances. |
| + | |
| + | If you lose a ship while ratting because you ignored these standard operating procedures, you will not receive SRP and you will be expected to replace it yourself. |
| + | |
| + | --- |
| + | |
| + | ## Mandatory Krabbing Setup |
| + | |
| + | Before you undock any ship for PvE, you must verify the following: |
| + | |
| + | 1. **Intel Channels:** You must have the regional and coalition intel channels open in a highly visible window. (See [[Intel Channels & Reporting]]). |
| + | 2. **Standing Fleet:** You must be in the coalition Standing Fleet. This allows you to warp to friendlies, receive remote repairs, and broadcast for help. |
| + | 3. **Comms:** You need to be in comms to have others help you out or save you. |
| + | 4. **Local Chat:** Ensure your local chat window is separated, stretched vertically, and that the pilot list is visible. |
| + | |
| + | --- |
| + | |
| + | ## Reacting to Hostiles (Subcaps) |
| + | |
| + | When you are ratting in a subcapital (Ishtar, Gila, Marauder) and a neutral or hostile enters local: |
| + | |
| + | 1. **Do not wait to see what they are.** |
| + | 2. Immediately align to your designated safe structure (Keepstar, Fortizar, or POS). |
| + | 3. Recall your drones. |
| + | 4. If the hostile appears on D-Scan or lands on your grid, warp immediately. |
| + | 5. Report the hostile in the intel channel using the standard format. |
| + | |
| + | > **Marauder Pilots:** If you are in Bastion, you cannot warp. You must pre-align, manage your Bastion cycles carefully, and be ready to overheat your tank if caught. |
| + | |
| + | --- |
| + | |
| + | ## Capital Ratting & The Umbrella |
| + | |
| + | If you are ratting in a Dreadnought, Carrier, or Supercarrier under the Winter Co umbrella, you are subject to extreme scrutiny. Capitals are massive targets that attract hostile drops instantly. |
| + | |
| + | ### The Cyno Requirement |
| + | * **Every capital ship must have a Cynosural Field Generator fitted and online.** |
| + | * You must have enough Liquid Ozone in your cargo bay for at least two cycles. |
| + | * You must have a cyno alt ready in system or adjacent systems if required by coalition rules. |
| + | |
| + | ### If You Are Tackled: |
| + | 1. **Speak Up:** Immediately key up on Mumble. State clearly and calmly: `"[Your Character Name] is tackled in [System Name] in a [Ship Type]."` |
| + | 2. **Light the Cyno:** Do not hesitate. If you are hard-tackled by a Sabres or heavy interdictors, light your cyno immediately. |
| + | 3. **Broadcast:** Broadcast for Armor or Shield in the Standing Fleet. |
| + | 4. **Tank:** Overheat your hardeners. Do not panic. Keep yourself alive until the response fleet jumps through. |
| + | |
| + | *Note: If you die because you forgot ozone, or because you didn't call out on Mumble, the loss is entirely on you. Also take a look at the winter co Capital ratting guides* |
| + | |
| + | --- |
| + | |
| + | ## Ship Fits & Risk Management |
| + | |
| + | * **Do Not Skimp on Tank:** Maximum DPS fits that sacrifice all EHP are not permitted. You must have enough buffer to survive the initial hostile drop while the standing fleet responds. |
| + | * **Escalations:** If you get an escalation (DED site), you may run it, but be aware that moving through gates in a blinged PvE ship makes you a prime target. Use a scout alt. |
| + | * **Wormholes:** If a wormhole opens in your system, roll it or stay out of the system. Unchecked wormholes are the number one cause of dead ratters. |
